Candover
Established in 1980, Candover specialises in arranging and leading large buyouts and buyins. We actively seek opportunities across Europe with particular focus on the Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Scandinavia and Spain. We have offices in London, Paris and Düsseldorf, and a local advisor in Madrid. To date we have invested in 128 deals with a total value of over €35 billion.
Since 1980 almost 90% of companies we have backed have achieved successful exits via stock market listings or trade sales.
Candover is structured as an investment trust and was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1984. Our investments in buyouts are provided in two forms, from Candover Investments plc and more significantly from third party funds raised and managed by Candover Partners Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Candover Investments plc.
Our current Fund, which closed at €3.5 billion in November 2005, is focused on supporting businesses and management teams across Europe that share our vision.
